AAS requires a High School Diploma or GED; TD requires Ability to Benefit

Note: Transferable General Education Courses needed to meet the requirements for the AAS are offered through a collaborative agreement with South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).

The objectives of the Industrial/Agriculture Mechanics Technology program are as follows:
  • To offer thorough, high-quality, and practical technical and vocational training.
  • To evaluate, reorganize, and maintain vocational programs that meet the needs of the community.
  • To offer guidance, vocational information, and assistance in job selection.
  • To provide retraining and/or up-grading for post-secondary and adult students.
  • To provide a training program that will develop proper work habits, safety habits, and attitudes toward supervisors and co-workers.
  • To offer a program that will allow the students to utilize information in thought-provoking and problem solving situations.
  • To motivate the student to such a degree he/she will attain his/her maximum potential during job preparation, obtain employment in his/her chosen field, and advance to the highest level he/she wishes to achieve.
