An application or re-application fee and a testing fee per component are charged for each Application for Admission submitted.

AAS requires a High School Diploma or GED; TD requires Ability to Benefit

Note:  Transferable General Education Courses needed to meet the requirements for the AAS are offered through a collaborative agreement with South Louisiana Community College (SLCC).

Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older

Licensure/Certification: Commercial Drivers License

The objectives of the Commercial Vehicle Operations program are to:
  • Provide the opportunity to learn the skills, competencies, and proficiencies which will prepare students for employment.
  • Prepare students to compete successfully in the labor market.
  • Develop work habits, personality traits, and attitudes that are essential to success in the field.
  • Provide special educational needs on an individual basis.
  • Emphasize safety procedures and defensive driving techniques.
