GUIDELINES FOR ADVERTISING COURSE OFFERINGS
The region policy is that all advertisements go through the Public Relations Coordinator to be certain that public relations efforts at the campuses adhere to region guidelines.
The regional office will publish a comprehensive continuing education booklet at least six weeks prior to the beginning of a semester and will conduct a region wide public relations blitz to make the public aware of the Continuing Education Division. This publication will list all classes, their locations, number of contact hours, costs, etc. Included in this publication will be an application for students to reserve space in a specific course. This application is used for this publication only. A more detailed application will be made available for students to complete on the first day of class.
Classes that are added after the Continuing Education Brochure publication date will have to be locally promoted by the individual campus.
All campuses may advertise continuing education courses that are determined best for their communities. This can include flyers, pamphlets, word of mouth, TV, radio, website, newspaper, etc.
