Mr. B.J. Landry was recently honored by Louisiana Technical College Lafayette Campus for his years of volunteer service. Mr. Landry served as a LTC Lafayette Campus Advisory Committee member from 1976 to 2008.

WORLD-RENOWNED PASTRY CHEF JEAN-LUC PIQUEMAL VISITS LTC LAFAYETTE CAMPUS

World-renowned Pastry Chef Jean-Luc Piquemal recently visited LTC Lafayette Campus. Chef Piquemal’s visit to Lafayette was hosted by Le Centre International de Lafayette.

Chef Piquemal conducted several “hands-on” workshops for LTC Lafayette Campus Culinary Arts and Occupations students, sharing his recipes and vast knowledge. LTC Lafayette Campus Culinary Arts and Occupations students assisted Chef Piquemal with preparing the same dessert that he recently prepared for heads of state in Quebec.

A gold medal winner in pastry arts at the World Culinary Olympics in 2004, French Pastry Chef Jean-Luc Piquemal currently creates his masterpieces in Quebec, Canada.

LTC T.H. Harris Campus students receive scholarship assistance
Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino, CL Jack Stelly and Associates and Cochrane Technologies established an Annual Scholarships with Louisiana Technical College Greater Acadiana Region Foundation benefiting LTC T.H. Harris Campus. These scholarships were recently awarded to LTC T.H. Harris Campus students in recognition of their academic excellence and leadership skills.

Greater Abbeville Vermilion Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours held October 13

On Monday, October 13, the Greater Abbeville Vermilion Chamber of Commerce hosted a Business After Hours in conjunction with Louisiana Technical College Gulf Area Campus and Quiznos. The event was held at LTC Gulf Area Campus. Participants enjoyed touring state of the art mobile training labs, visiting training areas, and meeting new LTC Gulf Area Campus Assistant Dean Kenn Posey.

LPACTE establishes scholarship

Lafayette Parish Association of Career and Technical Educators (LPACTE) establishes scholarship benefiting LTC Lafayette Campus

Lafayette Parish Association of Career and Technical Educators (LPACTE) established an Annual Scholarship with Louisiana Technical College Greater Acadiana Region Foundation benefiting LTC Lafayette Campus. These scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshman who completed at least three years of high school career and technical education courses in the Lafayette Parish public school system while maintaining academic standards.
